"I Have A Pattern." with Singer and Songwriter Jaclyn Shaw
Tuesday Feb 02, 2021
Tuesday Feb 02, 2021
On this week's episode of "The Answer Me Love Podcast" I have the pleasure of interviewing Jaclyn Shaw, one of the most beautiful and talented people I have come to know. We talk about a 1 in 300,000 chance at a coincidence in romance, and why she let it slide by- for now. We also talk about dating patterns we have, or the "type" of people we seem to date over and over and over and... you get the point. Jaclyn has a Master's Degree in Behavioral Therapy, and we talked about types of spiritual injuries that have been passed down through some traditional gender roles. We also talk about similar experiences of dating while performing artists, and channeling our pain into our art. Jaclyn was kind enough to share one of her songs with us and we talk about the experience that inspired the lyrics. Of course, we close the podcast with Jaclyn's answer to the question: What does good love feel like?

"That was closure." with musician and actor Omar Veluz
Wednesday Nov 13, 2019
Wednesday Nov 13, 2019
My guest on Episode 18 of “The Answer Me Love Podcast” is the musically talented, beautiful and sexy on the inside and out, Billboard Chart-making artist, Omar Veluz.
My life is better for meeting such a loving creative, and even though seeing him lights my heart, our conversation reveals the highs and lows of the journey to share our art. Omar tells us about his two loves, and the childhood traumas that still haunt him. We talk about toxic relationships, a very not-fun losing virginity story, closure, instagram vs. reality, and how much we feel our calling to perform.
I love Omar so much, and I’m sure within a few minutes of the podcast, you will fall in love too.
BTW- Omar’s song that climbed the Billboard Charts is called “Send Me An Angel.” Just the thought resonates with who I’m hoping for next. 💗
Follow Omar on YouTube and instagram @omarveluzmusic, on his website at www.omarveluzmusic.com, and subscribe to both of us on iTunes, Spotify and everywhere else good listening is found!

My guest on this week's episode of "The Answer Me Love Podcast" is the "Babe" of comedy, Stephanie Clark. I debated on the which quote to use for the title. One could have been, "I paid him $500 to leave" and another "I liked him because he didn't try so hard." Stephanie and I discussed her love for rescue dogs, her husband, the relationship she looks back at now and wonders, "Why??" and of course, comedy. I loved having her on, and I know you are going to love her too.

Bonus Episode: Sam Goldstein's Door
Thursday Aug 22, 2019
Thursday Aug 22, 2019
While interviewing Sam Goldstein for episode 16 of "The Answer Me Love Podcast," I was reminded of a famous quote by Graham Greene. If you've never heard of Graham, or the quote, you are about to. This bonus episode is short and sweet, thank you for listening and don't forget to subscribe!
If you haven't listened to episode 16th, here is some background info you need. In the intro, I mention Sam's "birth mother" who reached out to him for the first time on his 18th birthday. That is not the same person sam speaks of in this podcast. Sam's "Mom" he speaks about is his adoptive mother, who he considers to be "MOM." As in like, mom MOM.

Updated: "Have You Ever Seen Juno?" with Sam Goldstein
Thursday Aug 15, 2019
Thursday Aug 15, 2019
On this week's episode of "The Answer Me Love Podcast" I had the pleasure of learning about Comedian Sam Goldstein's journey with love. Sam opens up about family, comedy, his old perceptions on how to get the girl, and why he has never had a long term relationship. Like most of the guests on my podcast, Sam was honest and real, and this was the first podcast where I was the one who shed tears. I won't spoil it for you.
There were some technical difficulties with the first airing of this podcast, and I want to thank the listeners who messaged me asking about it and who are listening again to hear the rest of it. I heart you.

"Whatever Leslie Is, That's For Me..." with Comedian Matt Neal
Wednesday Jul 17, 2019
Wednesday Jul 17, 2019
On this week's episode of "The Answer Me Love Podcast" I find myself going down the rabbit holes of life and it's lessons- from comedy, to first crushes, to fatherhood, to the funny stories that kicked off the beginning of his marriage and relationship with his wife of 15 years, to the desired evolution of family in our society, to the treatment of depression and PTSD with hallucinogenic medicine, Matt was a gracious guest who left me more informed and more intrigued at the same time. I want to have him back to ask him more about the parents who brought comedy into his world, about his mother who suffered the loss of her sister during her teenage years, about what a 15 year marital journey includes, and more. For now though, here is a first glimpse of Matt Neal.
You can follow Matt on Twitter and Instagram @mattnealcomedy, and the comedy show he produces with Sam Goldstein when you follow #brewingcomedy, also on Instagram.
Go see his show at "Five Threads Brewery" in Westlake Village, it takes place every 1st Friday and 3rd Thursday.
Find him on Facebook too, of course.

"We Were in Love, We Just Didn't Know How To Express It" - with comedian Alex Hooper
Wednesday Apr 10, 2019
Wednesday Apr 10, 2019
Comedian Alex Hooper joins me as a guest on this week's edition of "The Answer Me Love Podcast." We open talking about his experience on "America's Got Talent," "Roast Battle" and his character "Stump." Alex tells about his growth from a self-hating child struggling with exzema, through a journey to find self love- where, along the way, he met his girlfriend of ten years, Lauren. He tells us about their complicated love triangle in the beginning, to the first night they made love, to the growth of their family. It's a beautiful story, and I'm grateful to Alex for sharing it, and to Lauren for living it.

"A Fully Realized Life" with Comedian, Doctor, and Producer Carol Metcalf
Wednesday Feb 20, 2019
Wednesday Feb 20, 2019
The fabulous Carol Metcalf is my guest on episode 12 of “The Answer Me Love Podcast.” She’s a comedian, doctor, and among other complimentary words, a comedian.
She is currently producing a documentary, “It Hurts When I Don’t Laugh.”
Carol and I talk about her experience being the daughter of a veteran, and the work she does with veterans now. “Honor” is a constant theme throughout the episode. Carol used two phrases I won’t forget, “a fully realized life” and “reframing the ironic.”
As far as love and relationships are concerned, Carol tells me about her hippy wedding at 19, meeting the love of her life Bernie on “Plenty of Fish,” a long marriage in-between the two, and opens up to me about her first kiss. I’d like to call this episode 1 with Carol, because I had so many more questions for her, and I'm hoping she will come back for episode 2. (Also, correction: Tulsi Gabbard’s role in the military was not to call the family of the deceased. For more info on that listen to the @joerogan podcast with Tulsi) #podcast #comedian #comedians #womenincomedy #women #lovestories #veterans #militaryfamilies #firstkiss #marriage #love #onenightstand #nfl #quarterback #notsorry #onlinedating #plentyoffish #weddings #hippy #hippywedding
