Ep 11 of “The Answer Me Love Podcast” is up! If you haven’t heard, I have a podcast where I interview people and ask them to tell me their REAL experiences and thoughts on love and relationships. Mostly, comedians are my guests. This week, I interviewed a high school friend- the quintessential “girl-next-door” Melissa Higashi. Why Melissa, of all the 1000+ people who went to good ol Channel Islands High school with us? Because I wanted to put the microphone in front of someone who doesn’t normally get one, in an effort to hear a beautiful heart speak it’s truth. The title of this week’s podcast is “To be known, to be loved.” I hope you listen and get the chance to know Melissa Higashi. www.answermelovepodcast.podbean.com Or on iTunes, stitcher. Etc etc . ❤️

Episode 10 of “The Answer Me Love Podcast” gave me the opportunity to interview one of my closest and funniest friends, comedian Christine Little. We discuss Christine’s attraction to unavailable guys, and the theory that we, on a subconscious level, are attracted to people who give us the same feeling as our primary caregivers.
Christine opens up about her parent’s divorce, and reflects on the judge’s decision to give her father custody of her and her brother- a decision she wrote a joke about- of course!
We talk about parents- is it inevitable that they will mess us up? Does a normal family exist?
Heart blockages? Christine? Heart blockages? Melanie? Blockages- and methods we have tried to get rid of them.
First crushes and our FIRSTS- yes, the people we "lost" our virginity to, and the strange thing that happened when we saw them years later.
In minute 46 we talk about “having one” and are so close that she read my mind and I didn’t even need to fully ask the question. “One” meaning someone you were supposed to marry at age 30- just in case you didn’t meet anyone else. You know, the “fall back plan.”
Is pure love just a mood we are in? Are pain and love intertwined? Christine gives us her answers to those questions, and of course- we finish the podcast with the question, “What does good love feel like?”

Stand up comedian, author, and actress Grace Fraga is my esteemed and hilarious guest on episode 9 of “The Answer Me Love Podcast.” We open with the question: Can you be friends with an ex? Grace tells us about her major loves, classified as the stable one, the fun one, and the roller coaster. We also discuss how finding your passion can influence a relationship- for better, or for worse. How close to home did “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” hit for us? I open up about a time I wish I was wrong- and how I’m hoping that someday someone will help prove me wrong. Grace’s motto is “kick butt and have fun” and you can feel it throughout this podcast. Of course, we conclude with Grace’s answer to the question “What does good love feel like?”

We share stories about recovering from break-ups that broke us. Topics include marriage, sex during marriage, twin flames, surviving and recovering from abusive relationships, and men... ah... the beauty of men.
Did I mention that Rosie talked about her time as a dominatrix?

We share our views of marriage, bringing children into the world, and as most podcasts do, we end up discussing our parents, and their relationships. Of course, we end with Reggie’s take on what good love feels like.

On episode 5 of "The Answer Me Love Podcast," I had the challenge of pinning down activist, intellectual, and comedic writer Enkel Brintrup to the topic of love. He dropped so many bombs discussing the history of his heritage, sexual and physical abuse as a child, his immigration to the United States, and more, but when we finally got down to the reason why I wanted to interview him- to find out what was it about his wife that made him want to marry her the first time, and the second time, after they officially divorced- I was suprised by the answer. Of course, we finish the podcast with Enkel's take on the question, "What does good love feel like?"
Enkel's wife recently had a birthday, and in his birthday FB post to her he wrote, "I love you. Explaining what I feel for you, is not possible in English."
You can follow Enkel on his Facebook pages, "Cupcakes and Milk" and "Motivational Satan."

On episode 3 of “The Answer Me Love Podcast” I sit with the brilliant, glamorous, classy, and very funny stand-up comedian Erin O’Connor. Erin recalls the four loves of her life, including her husband of 26 years, and we laugh about the “coincidences” of comedians having affairs with the same comedians as our other comedian friends- did you follow that? We reflect on the ways our parents' relationship influences how we approach our own. And of course, Erin gives us her take on what good love feels like.
Please take a moment to follow Erin on Twitter and Instagram @ErinOconnor415 and don’t forget to listen and subscribe to her podcast (hosted with her husband of 26 years) (did I mention 26 years?) “The Bob Zany Show.”
